Lodge Kitchen Reservations
How to make a reservation
1) Check the Reservation Calendar for available dates.
2) Submit a Reservation Application from the menu to your left.
3) A confirmation will be returned with registration forms, policy
information, and an invoice for your deposit and rental.
The lodge is located on the front 5 acres of Camp Mekokiko (see Site Map page). This area is fenced and gated. The area includes a botanical trail, an orchard with 40 plus varieties of fruit trees, and a playing field.
The lodge, pictured above, is a two story 1750 sq ft building with 370 sq ft of a well equipped kitchen*, handicapped bathroom, and a coin operated laundry room. There is one phone available for outgoing local land-line calls. Incoming messages will be taken for groups by the Camp Manager. There is no incoming phone land-line available to groups. Wireless DSL internet access in the lodge.
It is ideal for cooking for tenters or cottage rentals, even though theer are bar-b-que grills at each rental facility.
The lodge kitchen is typically rented along with one or more cabins or tent sites and all the cooking for everyone is done in the lodge kitchen. To include this kitchen and dining room is an additional $25 per day to any cabin or tent site rental.
Note, the County of Hawaii prohibits us from offering meal service. You must cook yourself, or cater from a local vendor.
*The kitchen has a large refrigerator, a 6 burner commercial gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, juicers, blender, toaster, crock-pot, a full assortment of pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc.
The property is gated, secure, safe and staffed during your rental.
A security deposit of $125 is required to hold a reservation. It is due 20 days after your reservation is confirmed, or with and in addition to invoice payment, whichever is earlier.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
You will be invoiced for your stay based on your reservation information. Payment must be received 1 week prior to your reservation IN date and is not refundable afterwards. Furthermore, there are no rain-checks. Pa'auilo Mauka is a rain forest and rain is to be expected.
Our Special Use Permit does not allow access to the Camp by bus. Visitors must arrive by van or car.
