Reservations are now available for the lodge, cottages, and tent sites.

Pictures and details of each facility and its rates are immediately below, Lodge, Cottages and Tent Sites in that order.

Check the Reservation Calendar before applying to check the facility is open for the date(s) you desire.  Note, the Reservation Calendar only shows dates NOT available.

How to make a reservation

2) Submit a Reservation Application from the menu to your left.
3) A confirmation will be returned with registration forms, policy
information, and an invoice for your deposit and rental.

Facility Description

The lodge is located on the front 5 acres of the camp ground which is fenced and gated. The acreage includes a botanical trail, an orchard with 40 plus varieties of fruit trees, and a playing field. The lodge, pictured above, is a two story 1750 sq ft building with 370 sq ft of a well equipped kitchen*, handicapped bathroom, and a 256 sq ft detached his and hers bathroom, shower house and laundry room.

It is an ideal rental for small day retreats, youth sleepovers and small adult overnight retreats. Day retreats are limited to 24 participants, and overnights to 12. The lodge is equipped with Swedish cots, LL Bean cots, blankets, pillows and pillowcases. Children under the age of 7 are free.

The lodge is typically rented along with one or more cottages and all the cooking for everyone is done in the lodge kitchen.

The property is gated, secure, safe and staffed during your rental.

RATES (plus tax)

DAY (8am to 5pm)

1-8 $125 
9-12 $120 plus $5 per person charge

OVERNIGHT (9am to 11am)

1- 12 $175 plus $10.00 per person charge

There is one phone available for outgoing local calls.  In coming messages will be taken for groups by the Camp director. There is no incoming phone line available to groups. There is wireless DSL internet access in the lodge and a computer / printer.

*The kitchen has a large double door refrigerator, a 6 burner commercial gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, juicers, blender, toaster, crock-pot, a full assortment of pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit of $125 is required to hold a reservation.  It is due 2 weeks after your reservation is confirmed, or with invoice payment, which ever is earlier.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

You will be invoiced for your stay based on your reservation information. Payment must be received 1 week  prior to your reservation IN date and is not refundable afterwards.  Furthermore, there are no rain-checks.  Pa'auilo Mauka is a rain forest and rain is to be expected.

Our Special Use Permit does not allow access to the Camp by bus. Visitors must arrive by van or car.

Cabin Reservations

Facility Description

Each cabin is a one bedroom apartment with a private shower or tub. The bedroom has two twin beds, curtains, night stand, closet, and desk. The living room has a wet bar, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes.  Outside there is a bar-b-que (The County and State of Hawaii prohibit a kitchen). The living room also has a dinette set with four chairs and two twin day-bed/sofas, doubling as beds for children at night. The porch has comfortable furniture for relaxing.

The cabin is a four minute walk from the parking lot.

Cabins are typically rented along with the lodge to large groups and meals are cooked at the lodge for everyone. Cabins rented by themselves do not have kitchen privileges at the lodge. Meal preparation is limited to bar-b-que cooking, and usage of refrigerator, galley and microwave oven.

RATES (plus tax)

The price is $85 per night (11am to 11am)

Tent Camping

How to make a reservation

information, and an invoice for your deposit and rental.

Facility Description

There are eight tent sites, each with a 20 x 20 foot roof, to keep rain off your tent! There are two 30 x 30 foot pavilions that serve the eight sites with four handicapped bathrooms and hot showers. The pavilions have a covered patio, picnic tables and a common sink for food preparation. There are cinder block bar-b-ques at each tent site for cooking. The site is ideal for youth retreats or small groups. There is no electricity at the site; campers need their own lights, lanterns, tents, charcoal, ice, sleeping-bags, and so forth. Tent sites are a 10 minute walk from the parking lot.

RATES (plus tax)

OVER NIGHT ONLY (11am to 11am)

The price is $15 per person.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit of $125 is required for groups to hold a reservation.  It is due 2 weeks after your reservation is confirmed, or with invoice payment, which ever is earlier.

We realize tenting can and will often be on a walk-in basis for eco-tourist biking around the island.  For this situation no security deposit is required, however identification will be required for securing any breakage.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

You will be invoiced for your group stay based on your reservation information. Payment must be received 1 week  prior to your reservation IN date and is not refundable afterwards.  Again, we realize tenting can and will often be on a walk-in basis for eco-tourist biking around the island. For this situation payment is due upon arrival.  Furthermore, there are no rain-checks.  Pa'auilo Mauka is a rain forest and rain is to be expected.
